Huskers split two games in Fort Collins; final games of tournament canceled

The Nebraska softball team split two games during the second day of the Colorado State Classic in Fort Collins, beating Idaho State 5-0 before losing to the host Rams 12-9.

Freshman Lindsey Walljasper pitched a complete game in the Huskers' win against Idaho State. The right-hander scattered four hits and struck out eight, one off her career-best mark, to improve to 4-2.

Madi Unzicker led the Husker offense, finishing 2-for-3 with a home run and two runs scored. Freshman Peyton Glatter hit her first collegiate homer, and junior Bree Boruff went 2-for-3.

Glatter's two-run shot got the Huskers on the board in the second inning, and Unzicker added a solo shot in the fourth.
