HUSKERS SOFTBALL Recap - A Midwestern Sweep at Northwestern: NEBRASKA 3 Northwestern 0

Northwestern’s ace, Lauren Boyd, who was shelled out of Saturday’s game in the midst of an 8-run second inning, was determined to prove that showing was A fluke. And, for 6 innings, she had thrown a gem, allowing only 3 hits and a run.

But then, in the bottom of the sixth, some loud Northwestern fans unaccustomed to having their asses handed to them by the Nebraska Cornhuskers began to yowl and whine at the umps and Jordy Bahl that - gasp! - she was taking too long to pitch.

1) This has never been an issue for her, and 2) there is a clock which lets the umps know whether they should penalize the pitcher for delay of game.
