Nebraska Cornhuskers pitcher and first baseman/outfielder Jordy Bahl was named the NFCA Division I Player of the Year on Wednesday. Bahl is the Huskers’ first NFCA Player of the Year honoree and was also named as a unanimous NFCA First -Team All-America selection.
Bahl is the 29th player and the ninth pitcher to be named a three-time NFCA First-Team All-American after she earned the honor in 2022 and 2023 at Oklahoma. She is NU’s first NFCA First-Team All-American since MJ Knighten in 2016 and grabbed Nebraska’s 31st NFCA All-America honor.
The award adds to an already strained trophy basement for Bahl this season as she was named both the Big Ten Player and Pitcher of the Year, the first player in the conference’s history to earn both awards in the same year.
