KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Nebraska men's basketball team tightened the screws on Missouri State in the game's final seven minutes and pulled away from the pesky Bears for an 85-62 win Monday night at the Hall of Fame Classic at the Sprint Center.
Isaac Copeland finished with 23 points, seven rebounds and four assists for the Huskers, and fellow senior Glynn Watson added 16 points and four assists to keep the Huskers afloat through the first 33 minutes of a game in which the Missouri Valley Conference's Bears wouldn't go away.
Nebraska will play either Texas Tech or USC at 8:30 p.
