Provo, Utah -- The No. 15 Nebraska women's gymnastics team opened up the season against No. 23 BYU Cougars at the Marriott Center in Provo, Utah.
In a meet that came down to the final performance, the Huskers had standout performances from senior Taylor Houchin took home the vault title with a score of 9.85, and senior Sierra Hassel won the floor title with a 9.90 and the balance beam title with a score of 9.875. Junior Megan Verceles Carr posted solid scores on vault, uneven bars and balance beam, while all three of Nebraska's freshmen made their collegiate debuts.
