De’Maryion Houston knew he found something at Nebraska when he visited earlier in January.
The 6-foot, 165-pound receiver has been in the recruiting game for a long time.
That’s what happens when you burst onto the scene early in your high school career at a place like Millwood High in Oklahoma City.
Houston started piling up offers well before his junior season started. In July, just before his senior year, he committed to Texas. Then in December, he started over.
On Jan. 11, he visited Nebraska officially. There were other visits he could have taken after that, but eventually, he shut his recruitment down and decided he’d seen enough.
