Huskers Gather Five Wins on Day One of Bonita Bay Classic

Fort Meyers, Fla. - The Nebraska men's tennis team took home five victories on day one of the Bonita Bay Classic in Fort Meyers, Fla., winning four singles matches and adding a doubles victory against the host school Florida Gulf Coast.

Lars Johann gathered his sixth win of the fall campaign, downing FGCU's Marcelo Sepulveda in straight sets, 6-3, 6-3. The Bruchkoebl, Germany native has now won four of his last five singles matches dating back to the Big Ten Individual championships.

Rudi Christiansen, William Gleason and Shunya Maruyama all picked up wins in singles action for the Big Red who took four of the six singles matches.
