Lincoln –The Nebraska men’s basketball team earned its eighth victory of the season Tuesday evening after downing Prairie View A&M, 81-50.
The Huskers jumped out to an 18-point lead in the first half, behind 10 first-half points from Shavon Shields, but fell behind after a 16-0 run gave the Panthers a 26-24 lead. Nebraska regained the lead to finish out the half giving the Huskers a 31-28 lead heading into the locker room.
After trading baskets to start the half, Nebraska went on a 12-0 run to extend its lead to 45-34. The Huskers dominated the rest of the way outscoring the Panthers 50-22 in the second half.
