Huskers Defend First Place Position

Lincoln - The third-ranked Nebraska bowling team remains in first place after the second day of the Big Red Invitational.

The Huskers had a total pinfall of 5,640 on Saturday with a team average of 225.3 through 10 matches, just ahead of top-ranked McKendree (223.7) and No 9 Youngstown State (216.7)

Saturday's bowling was in traditional format, and All-American Cassidy Ray finished in third place in individual standings with a total pinfall of 1,172 across five matches. Kayla Verstraete (1,143) and Michelle Guarro (1,132) landed closely behind in fifth and seventh.
