Huskers collecting donations for Red Cross flood relief at Saturday's spring game

Nebraska is collecting cash donations at Saturday’s Red-White Spring Game to help people affected by recent historic flooding in the area.

Volunteers are going to be collecting donations at all entrances to Memorial Stadium. The proceeds will be donated to the Red Cross and will go toward flood relief in Nebraska and Southwest Iowa.

“The Red Cross is coordinating with community and government partners to address people’s urgent needs, providing support to those affected and assisting with recovery efforts,” the release says. “They are focused on shelter operations, providing a safe place to stay, a place to sleep, meals and referrals to partner agencies to those who have been displaced from their homes due to the flooding.
