Huskers bring the intensity to book fifth straight trip to nationals

The Nebraska women's gymnastics team knew it didn't have a large margin for error if they were going to make a fifth straight trip to nationals.

So the No. 11 Huskers went out on Saturday at the Raleigh, North Carolina, Regional and did exactly what head coach Dan Kendig said they needed to do earlier this week.

Nebraska posted a season-high 197.525 at a sold-out Reynolds Coliseum on the North Carolina State campus to finish just behind No. 2 LSU's 197.675 and book a trip to the NCAA Championships.

Nebraska's Taylor Houchin won the uneven bars title and tied for the vault title, Sienna Crouse was second on the floor exercise and Danielle Breen and Grace Williams tied for second on the balance beam.
