Box Score Las Cruces, N.M. ---- An impressive overall performance on Saturday morning helped the Nebraska softball team (2-1) top Bradley (1-2) by a score of 8-1. It served as the first of two games on the day for the Huskers as part of the Troy Cox Classic.
Lindsey Walljapser pitched a gem of a game going the distance and giving up just one run on three hits. She also added seven strikeouts and improved to 1-1 on the season.
At the plate, the Huskers were equally as impressive. As a team, Nebraska had eight hits which included three home runs from Tristen Edwards, Peyton Glatter and Payton Huscroft.
