Nebraska will have two guys in the U20 field and seven more in the U23 tournament. The winners will represent Team USA at their age-level world championships this fall.
As it stands, two Huskers — LJ Araujo and Omar Ayoub — have already punched their tickets to compete at the U20 World Championships for other countries. Araujo will be competing for Brasil at 79 kg, while Ayoub will compete for Puerto Rico at 61 kg. Araujo won a U20 world bronze medal last year at 79 kg for Brasil, while Ayoub just won the Puerto Rico World Team Trials.
