Nebraska added its third commit for the class of 2026 as it received a pledge from Columbus’ Mason Petersen — the top-overall commit in the state of Nebraska for the Class of 2026.

A two-time Class A State Champion for the Discoverers, Petersen won his first title as a sophomore at 138 pounds over two-time champ Miles Anderson of Millard South (see below) — he went 47-6 that year. His second he won this past February at 150 pounds, pinning his way through the state tournament bracket as a junior.
