Greg Sharpe is in his 10th season as the Nebraska football team's play-by-play announcer. He also handles play-by-play duties for the Husker baseball team. A native of Olathe, Kansas, his passion for his work is obvious in his broadcasts, and he strongly believes that passion is integral in serving a fervent Husker fan base.
Q: Was becoming a play-by-play announcer the sort of job you envisioned while growing up in Olathe?
Sharpe: "I knew when I was 7 or 8 that I wanted to be a sports broadcaster. Don't know why.
