Husker Legend Mick Tingelhoff Passes Away

Cornhusker legend Mick Tingelhoff passed away on Saturday at the age of 81. A native Nebraskan and three-year Husker letterwinner, Tingelhoff had a remarkable NFL career that led to his induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2015.

A native of Lexington, Neb., Tingelhoff lettered for Nebraska from 1959 to 1961 and was a co-captain of the 1961 Cornhuskers for Coach Bill Jennings. He played on the offensive line at Nebraska that season alongside Bob Brown, a fellow Pro Football Hall of Fame member. Tingelhoff was inducted into the Nebraska Football Hall of Fame in 1980.
