Husker hurdlers qualify for NCAAs

Senior Carlos Davis finished fourth in the men's discus with a top effort of 191 feet, 11 inches. The Huskers' Khalil Davis, Carlos' twin brother, finished 10th and Burger Lambrechts was 16th.

Bartling takes 13th in discus for UNK: Jacob Bartling of Nebraska-Kearney had a 165-foot, 7-inch throw in the discus Friday to finish in 13th place at the NCAA Division II Outdoor Championships in Kingsville, Texas. He'll compete in the shot put on Saturday, along with Mackenzie Crowder and Tiara Schmidt from the women's team.

Dolincheck places fifth in shot put for NWU: In the first day of the NCAA Division Outdoor Championships in Geneva, Ohio, Nebraska Wesleyan thrower Dayton Dolincheck took fifth place with a toss of 46-foot, 6¾ inches.
