Husker bowling falls to Vanderbilt in fourth round; rematch in semifinals on Saturday

The Nebraska women’s bowling team lost to Vanderbilt on Friday in the fourth round at the National Championship at RollHouse Wickliffe in Wickliffe, Ohio.

Vanderbilt started the day by defeating McKendree 2-1 in an elimination match. The Commodores won the traditional match 1,035-999, lost the baker match 1,105-953 and swept the best-of-7 match to advance.

The Commodores then took the Huskers down 1,089-1,066 in the traditional match and 1,068-1,036 in the baker match.

Meghan Straub leads Nebraska individually with an average of 254.67. Allison Morris follows with an average of 207.00.

Vanderbilt is the defending national champion.
