Two Husker football coaches have been rewarded with two-year contract extensions and significant pay hikes after their first season in Lincoln.

Wide receivers coach Keith Williams will now make $400,000 a year, an upgrade from the $275,000 he initially signed on for a year ago.

Linebackers coach Trent Bray, meanwhile, will make $300,000 in 2016 and $325,000 the year after. The youngest full-time coach on NU's staff, he had been at $250,000 last year and was the lone coach working on a one-year deal.

Both coaches' new contracts run through Jan. 31, 2018.

Husker head coach Mike Riley told the Journal Star in early January that Bray did "one of the best coaching jobs" on the staff with a young, battered linebackers group that lacked depth.
