Chicago, Ill. -- Senior Sierra Hassel was named the Big Ten Event Specialist of the Week on Jan. 14, announced by the conference.
Hassel was stellar during Nebraska's two meets against BYU and Southern Utah last week. She won at least a share of four event titles, and produced scores of 9.925 on balance beam and 9.95 on floor exercise on Jan. 9. She is also tied for No. 7 in the nation on floor exercise with an average score of 9.925.
This is Hassel's second Event Specialist of the Week honor.
