Gophers Win the Battle With 6-4 Over Nebraska

Will Walsh (4-6, 5.27 ERA) has struggled in his last couple of starts, after going toe-to-toe against the Big Ten’s best, Cade Obermueller in a fantastic duel back on April 11 in Iowa City. That night he went seven innings and gave up but two hits. Against both Northwestern and Maryland, the veteran lefty from Leawood, Kansas, was only able to stay in the game for three innings in each outing and he got hit hard, particularly against the Wildcats who took him deep for four homeruns. Those that follow Nebraska baseball know that this poised senior has grit and it would not surprise them at all if this young man would turn it around tonight against the Gophers from Minnesota.
