Happy Monday everyone! It is the last day of summer. Get out and enjoy it if you can.

The weather here in Nebraska has been weird lately thanks to the smoke from the fires on the west coast. Obviously, it is nothing like the images coming from areas directly affect by the fires, but it is noticeable nonetheless.

We have had funky looking sunrises and sunsets as well as a constant haze. It is hard for me when teaching. I need to keep a water bottle nearby as my throat is scratchy and talking exacerbates that.

There have been several large fires in western Nebraska but, thus far, the area around our little ranch has been able to avoid any of that.
