My mom’s high school yearbook quote was, “I am not a pessimist, just an optimist who suffers much.”
I laugh and make fun of her every time that I read that. Clearly that is frequently enough for me to have in memorized. While it does seem very teen angsty, I’m pretty sure she just picked it because she thought it sounded cool.
I’m glad I didn’t have to pick a yearbook quote.
The reason that I bring up the quote, is that I am an optimist by nature. This year and this football season have worn me down a bit and now I feel a bit like an optimist who “suffers much”.
