Yesterday after seeing a Blackshirts sticker my son was asking me about the Huskers’ mascot. I explained Herbie Husker and Lil’ Red to him. Then he asked me which one I liked better. I chose Herbie over Lil’ Red, but it did take me a little while to decide. I am not really partial to either of them.

My son said he thought it should be a skeleton with a Husker helmet instead. That got me thinking, what would you change the mascot to if you got to choose?
