It’s watchlist season. Except, that we know there won’t be many Huskers on watchlists after least year’s 4-8 debacle. We might see a receiver or two appear, but I’m not sure how many others will catch the eye of selection committees.
One list where Nebraska players make frequent appearances is the Allstate Good Works Team. This year 169 college football players were nominated, including Nebraska’s senior defensive end Freedom Akinmoladun.
The final Allstate AFCA Good Works Team, announced in September, will be comprised of 11 players from the NCAA Football Bowl Subdivision and 11 players from the NCAA Football Championship Subdivision, Divisions II, III and the NAIA and one honorary head coach.
