Four current Huskers will be competing during Friday's USA Freestyle Junior World Team Trials at the Devaney Sports Center.
Collin Purington (145 pounds): The sophomore finished fifth at last week's UWW Freestyle University Nationals in Akron, Ohio. He will wrestle Edinboro's Patricio Lugo in the opening round.
Chad Red (145): He redshirted last season, and took eighth place in the Akron event. Red has a first-round bye, and will wrestle Wisconsin's Cole Martin in the second round.
Taylor Venz (185): There are 15 wrestlers in the 84-kg division, and Venz gets a bye, so he'll be awaiting his quarterfinal opponent.
