A total of 25 former Huskers, including 20 players on active rosters, are set to begin the 2020 National Football League season this week. In addition to the 25 players, five former Huskers will be coaching on NFL sidelines this fall.
The list of Huskers playing in the NFL this season includes a mix of veterans. Sam Koch (15th season), Richie Incognito (13th season) and Ndamukong Suh (11th season) each have played more than 10 seasons in the NFL. All three players have also been a Pro Bowl selection in their careers, as has Lavonte David. David is also serving as a team captain for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for the seventh straight season, while Maliek Collins was named a team captain in his first season with the Las Vegas Raiders.
