The Omaha Beef, a team in the Professional Indoor Football League, announced that it had signed the former Husker quarterback for the upcoming season. Fyfe walked on for the Huskers in 2013 and earned a scholarship prior to the 2014 season.
As a junior in 2015, the 6-foot-3, 215-pound Fyfe appeared in two games, completing 34 of 55 passes and five touchdowns. During his senior season, he played in eight games as NU compiled a 9-4 record and battled Tennessee in the Music City Bowl.
In those eight games, Fyfe, who graduated from Grand Island High School, threw for four touchdowns and 558 yards.
