Former Nebraska forward Michael Jacobson will continue his basketball career at Iowa State.
The 6-foot-9, 240-pounder made the decision public Monday afternoon on his Twitter account.
A native of Waukee, Iowa, just west of Des Moines, Jacobson will sit out next season and have two seasons of eligibility remaining at Ames, which is about an hour north of his home town.
Jacobson played in all of the Huskers’ 65 games the past two seasons, moving into the starting lineup nine games into his freshman year and never leaving.
He made 56 consecutive starts for Nebraska, averaging 4.
