Former Husker Kelsey Griffin scored 16 points and grabbed a game-high nine rebounds in helping the Australian National Team to an 83-74 win against Japan in the Asia Cup on Tuesday in Bangalore, India.
Griffin was 7-of-11 from the field, and added four assists and a blocked shot in 29 minutes as Australia improved to 3-0 in pool play. The Eagle River, Alaska, native used a 7-0 run of her own to push Australia's lead to 30-24.
Griffin is averaging 13.3 points, 6.3 points and 1.7 assists per game during pool play.
