Diaco weighs in on Moos, Pelini and Riley

Nebraska defensive coordinator Bob Diaco spoke with reporters for more than 23 minutes Tuesday night and talked about everything from the development of his defense to his will to be in Lincoln long-term to admitting that his postgame comments after the Huskers' 31-24 overtime loss to Northwestern might have come off as somewhat, “nonsensical.”

One interesting exchange came when Diaco was asked if he had the chance to outline his vision for the Blackshirts with new athletic director Bill Moos.

“I have not had an opportunity to talk to Mr. Moos,” Diaco said. “I would say that from everything I’ve seen, it looks to me like they hired a man that understands deeply – not only the athletic department we’re talking specifically about football.
