The way that the Nebraska baseball team jumped out to a five-run lead in the bottom of the first inning today would indicate that there was no hangover from last night’s frustrating loss or that this was just indicative of the roller-coaster season that is Cornhusker Baseball 2025.
The Big Red pounced all over Wildcat starter Matthew Kouser after Ty Horn sat the boys in purple down in order in the top of the first. After Devin Nunez started off the Cornhusker first grounding out to second, the onslaught began.
Cayden Brumbaugh hit a single through the right side and then Max Buttenback pulled a single to left.
