The Nebraska Athletic Department and Nebraska volleyball program has announced that head coach John Cook will miss Saturday’s match at Iowa State to attend to a family member in his home state of California.
"My family needs me in California right now," Cook said. "My sister is in a tough fight and I had to head there immediately to be with her and my family. I appreciate everyone’s thoughts, prayers and privacy during this difficult time for us."
"We fully support John and encouraged him to be with his family right now," said Pat Logsdon, Nebraska’s senior woman administrator.
