Nebraska captain Cam Chick was among the 30 NCAA baseball student-athletes announced as candidates for the 2022 Senior CLASS Award on Tuesday.
The Senior CLASS Award focuses on the total student-athlete and encourages students to use their platform in athletics to make a positive impact as leaders in their communities. To be eligible for the award, the student-athlete must be classified as an NCAA Division I senior or graduate student and have notable achievements in four areas of excellence: community, classroom, character and competition.
A two-time Academic All-Big Ten honoree, Chick has demonstrated his character by involvement in numerous initiatives at Nebraska, participating in N-Volved, the Minority Student-Athlete Collective Rally and the Diversity & Inclusion Summit.
