Lincoln – Nebraska's Emily Cheramie was honored Friday, receiving a trio of honors from the Great American Rifle Conference.
Cheramie, who led the Huskers to a sixth-place finish at the at the 2021 NCAA Championships earlier this month, was selected as the GARC Senior of the Year in voting by the conference coaches, while she also collected a pair of all-conference awards.
A senior from Georgetown, Ky., Cheramie averaged a combined score average of 1,176.28 in seven conference matches during the 2020-21 season, as she topped the Huskers in average in both smallbore and air rifle.
