It's the Spartans, Purdue, Michigan and everyone else right now in the race for the top of the league. Michigan State gets the No. 1 nod for now thanks to three straight wins. But with star forward Nick Ward out for the foreseeable future with a hairline fracture in his left (shooting) hand, things are looking a little dicey in East Lansing.
Say this about the Boilermakers: when they lose, they really lose. Purdue's last two defeats have been by 18 at Michigan State and by 14 at Maryland. But, those are the only losses for Matt Painter's squad since mid-December.
