Andrews Named Big Ten Player of the Week

Sophomore infielder Billie Andrews was named Big Ten Player of the Week, the conference announced on Monday.

Andrews was recognized for an outstanding weekend in the home-opening series against Wichita State and South Dakota State. Andrews hit .500 in four games with five home runs. Andrews tallied 10 RBIs, a 1.750 slugging percentage and a .625 on-base percentage. The sophomore started all four games at shortstop and helped Nebraska to a 3-1 record in four games against 2021 NCAA Tournament teams.

The Gretna, Neb., native, homered in all four games last week and has hit a home run in five consecutive games overall.
