Happy tears streamed down Aubrielle Woslager’s face.
The 11-year-old girl from Ashland didn’t know what to expect at Nebraska’s inaugural event celebrating National Girls and Women in Sports Day, but she didn’t think she’d be overwhelmed by her emotion like that when she approached Nebraska’s All-American libero Lexi Rodriguez for a hug and a photo.
“I thought I would never be able to do that,” Woslager said. “Never in a million years.”
Her mom, Amber Woslager, added: “We had hopes to see Lexi. That’s been her huge idol for volleyball.
