The Nebraska football team suffered its most significant loss of the transfer portal season on Monday night. Kenny Minchey, who had committed to the Huskers almost exactly 24 hours earlier, flipped his commitment to Kentucky.
The decommitment was the latest in what has been a string of frustrating recruiting losses, but it was also the biggest. After watching Dylan Raiola enter the portal, the Huskers know they need to get a new quarterback to at least compete with TJ Lateef.
It was thought Nebraska could now focus on other positions and know precisely what it had to spend with Minchey in the boat.
