As a junior in high school, Bryan Reimers made a decision that he would do whatever it takes to play college football. His senior season at Lincoln East High School saw him go for 12 touchdowns and nearly 600 receiving yards. Despite his impressive size at 6-5 and 200 pounds, his only offers were from NAIA schools.
Just as he mulled a preferred walk-on spot opportunity at South Dakota State and his NAIA offers, Nebraska came calling with an opportunity to stay home and be a part of their storied walk-on program.
“The decision to stay home and play college football at the place I grew up watching games is a dream come true,” Reimers said.
