Pittsburgh Panthers star wide receiver Tyler Boyd has been handed a 12-month probation sentence following a June arrest on DUI charges.
Adam Brandolph of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review reported the details of Boyd's punishment Friday, as handed down by Judge Robert C. Gallo: "Common Pleas Judge Robert C. Gallo ordered Boyd to spend 12 months on probation and take safe driving classes. His driver's license will be suspended for 90 days, and he also must pay court costs. If he successfully completes the program, he can ask the court to expunge his record."
The Associated Press (h/t USA Today) reported on July 1 that Boyd waived his right for a preliminary hearing in an effort to receive probation for a first-time offense.
