Mississippi State has scored 13 points in the past two weeks against defenses that don’t have as much raw talent as Auburn’s. The Tigers, meanwhile, have averaged less than 3.5 yards a carry against every opponent that wasn’t Alabama State. That’s a problem for Auburn’s offense, which needs to be able to run consistently between the tackles to make the scheme really hum.
