Less than a week after University of Texas athletes issued a series of demands for racial justice on campus, a football player says he is no longer “comfortable” representing the school.
Longhorns junior linebacker Juwan Mitchell posted a statement Wednesday night on Twitter that ended with him saying, “I do not feel comfortable representing the University of Texas.”
"We put our blood, sweat and tears in every day so the city of Austin can enjoy their Saturdays," Mitchell wrote. "For once, we decide to voice our opinions about things that can help better the community.
