The former Michigan State star Mateen Cleaves was arraigned on sexual assault charges in Flint, Mich., a day after he was charged with assaulting a woman at a motel last summer after a charity golf event. The prosecutor Kym Worthy criticized Judge M. Cathy Dowd, saying Cleaves’s arraignment was handled “clandestinely.” No cameras were allowed.
