Report: Les Miles finalizing deal to become Kansas football coach

Les Miles might be headed back to the sideline soon.

The former Oklahoma State and LSU football coach is finalizing a deal with Kansas to try to turn around the school’s struggling football program, according to Sports Illustrated.

Miles was fired from LSU four games into the 2016-17 season — his 12th with the program. He compiled a 114-34 record during his time with the Tigers and led the team to a national championship in 2007.

Miles, 65, has spent 16 seasons as a head coach and boasts a 142-55 record.

The Jayhawks, meanwhile, haven’t had a winning season since 2008 and are just 6-40 over the past four seasons.
