Police searched trash of Florida State's Deondre Francois as part of marijuana investigation

Tallahassee police began an investigation into possible drug dealing by Florida State quarterback Deondre Francois after a person reported seeing two pounds of marijuana at the athlete's house.

Police investigators rifled through Francois' garbage on four different occasions starting in February, according to a search warrant filed in Leon County Circuit Court.

They found baggies with marijuana residue in them consistent with packaging and individual sale, blunt innards and medical marijuana containers.

Documents with Francois and his girlfriend Diamond Lindsey on them were also located.

Francois entered into a diversion program after police served a search warrant and found 17 grams of marijuana and other drug paraphernalia at the house on April 12.
