Football teams usually carry over 50 players on a roster and have 22 different starters, but sometimes one star player can impact the program for years. One stud can come in as a freshman and be the savior of a struggling program but just as quickly, the departure of an important player can leave a program scrambling to find a replacement that can replicate that level of production. This task is nearly impossible but the Oregon Ducks find themselves in this position following Marcus Mariota’s decision to move on to the NFL.
