HOUSTON -- Villanova staged its worst performance of the season in a 23-point loss to Oklahoma at Pearl Harbor on Dec. 7, 2015.
It’s the natural backdrop to a rematch in the Final Four Saturday at Houston’s NRG Stadium. Although, it seems obvious to all that Villanova -- the same Villanova that held Kansas, the No. 1 overall seed in the NCAA tournament, to 59 points and 0.91 points per possession in the Elite Eight last weekend -- supersedes the squad that finished 4-for-32 from beyond the arc in the first matchup.
Oklahoma agrees with that assessment.
