Missouri’s football program was hit with a one-year postseason ban and the university’s athletic department was placed on three years of probation after an NCAA investigation found a former tutor violated “ethical conduct, academic misconduct and academic extra benefits rules" in completing coursework for a dozen student-athletes.

The ruling from the Division I Committee on Infractions also resulted in a one-year postseason ban for Missouri’s baseball and softball programs, the vacating of wins earned with ineligible student-athletes and recruiting restrictions placed on all three athletic programs for the 2019-20 academic year.
