On the campus of the University of Missouri, there is a watch going on waiting to see if the school’s president will resign as requested by some student groups and faculty. As the student body continues to deal with racial tension (something many prominent black students say hasn’t been addressed by the school’s leadership), the football team is joining in the calls for change.
What started as just the black players on the team has turned into the entire squad, led by head coach Gary Pinkel, refusing to take part in practices or other activities until a Missouri student ends his hunger strike that was started to draw attention to the call for change.
